Twitter is loaded with people who use the strategy of following you in the hopes you’ll follow them back. When you do, they quietly unfollow you when you least expect it. They’re looking to build their following. You may be as well. But they don’t care about anything you have to say – they just want to use you to build their following.
It’s a social media strategy for Twitter and it’s used all the time.
If you want to be sure those who follow you truly care about what you say – just put them to the test. There are dozens of apps that will help you track those who unfollow you. Many are junk and were sloppily put together and don’t work with Twitter’s rules. So instead of wasting your time, just download TwitFollow for iPhone or TwitFollow for Android.
TwitFollow is an App to find Unfollowers
TwitFollow does what it says it’ll do. TwitFollow, or Twitter Followers as its called, will help you identify who’s unfollowed you, who is not following you back, you can track new followers, and much more.
Best of all, this app is free. You will see some ads for the free version, but for only $0.99, you can dump the ads.
I like the accuracy and simplicity of the app. You’ll see who has recently followed you, unfollowed you and connect you to the app to take appropriate action.
You’ll start to notice once you get a few followers, you’ll see them leave you days later – maybe earlier if you haven’t followed them back.
For the most part, TwitFollow has performed flawlessly, especially for the price. There are instances where the app seems to have marked someone as unfollowing me and they were actually still following, but those errors have been very few and far between so I chalk it up to a glitch in a refresh of the app or Twitter itself.
If you’re looking for an app that’s no nonsense, that works and does what it says it will, TwitFollow may be just what you’re looking for.
Please let us know which app you’re using to track unfollowers and post them in the comments!
