While perusing the Twitter feeds today, we noticed some strange tweets from the official Chipotle account. Clearly it had to be a Chipotle Twitter hack. There were several strange posts from the account like: ‘end Twitter’, ‘please Twitter’, the list goes on as the author enjoyed his short-lived massive exposure. But wow, just as I type this, Chipotle’s ‘Joe’ has it all back on track. Here’s a tweet from seconds ago:
Sorry all. We had a little problem with our account. But everything is back on track now! – Joe

We’re happy to see Chipotle has regained control of their account. And it’s just another reminder that Twitter accounts are hackable, no matter who or how big you are. Security is key. And it pays to vigilant. And even the slightest effects of a food coma from one of the delicious burritos stuffed with chicken, rice, black beans, a bit of mild and hot salsa, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and a few dashes of the green Tobasco sauce, can leave you open for a Twitter attack. Eat slowly, change your password and carry on.
